Asset Protection Planning

An old estate plan (or worse, no estate plan) may no longer be sufficient to address clients’ current life circumstances and concerns, such as planning for possibility of future nursing home care. MassHealth Eligibility and Application for Benefits
We assist families in obtaining nursing home MassHealth (or “Medicaid”) eligibility. Placing a loved one in a nursing home can be a very difficult and upsetting decision for a family. In addition to the emotional aspects, the financial cost alone is often overwhelming. There are many misconceptions about the “dos” and “do nots” of applying for MassHealth, and our knowledge and experience ensure that clients receive accurate information. The attorneys at Oalican Law Group assist families with all aspects of the MassHealth application process, from the first contact with the MassHealth agency, to managing communication with the nursing home, through approval for the program.
