Eric received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989 from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst and his law degree from The American University in 1992. Eric has been voted a “Super Lawyer” in elder law by New England attorneys since 2005. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Mr. Oalican also performs significant pro bono work giving educational seminars for public and private organizations devoted to assisting older clients. Asset protection, current Medicaid law and estate planning are topics Eric presents to Alzheimer support groups, social clubs, age-55 plus residential communities, assisted living facilities, home care staff and hospital case managers.
Embracing the wisdom he’s received from his older clients, Eric’s personal life balances his professional commitments. He enjoys cooking, skiing, coin collecting (Eric cannot pronounce the word “numismatist”) and getting the last word in on any conversation with his wife and two children.
